Living in a Divine Health By Bishop David Oyedepo

God's greatest wish for mankind is that everyone prospers and lives in divine health even as his/her soul prospers (3 John 2).

Jesus came to the earth not only to save your soul, but to make you sound physically and mentally. This is why I will be showing you what it takes to live in divine health.

Health is a state of being well or free from illness in body or mind. God's Word says: Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:4-5). Jesus Christ took the stripes so that our bodies may no longer be broken down.

If you are a born-again child of God, the price for your total health has been fully paid by the precious Blood of Jesus Christ. God's Word says: For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's (1 Corinthians 6:20).

You must understand, therefore, that it's not the plan of God or His will to see you in sickness, because the price has been fully paid. Jesus paid the price and that same Jesus said, "It is finished." This means that you don't have to suffer any more pain, sorrow or sickness.

KEYS TO DIVINE HEALTH:

Be Free From Sin
Sin is simply a violation of God's Word. If you want to live healthy, you must keep away from sin. When the laws that govern divine health are broken, they have a way of affecting one's health. God's Word says: He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him (Ecclesiastes 10:8).
At creation, man was designed to live in divine health, but that nature was tampered with when man sold his birthright to the devil, through disobedience (Genesis 3). So, sickness came in after the fall of man. Therefore, beware of sin and stay healthy!

Service
When you are determined to serve God, you cannot serve sickness and diseases. God's Word says: No man can serve two masters... Ye cannot serve God and mammon (Matthew 6:24).
God's blessings, including divine health, come on those who serve Him. He ensures that no sickness is permitted to tamper with your body. God's Word says: And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee (Exodus 23:25).

Attend to God's Word
The Word of God has enough power to keep you healthy. God's Word says: My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh (Proverbs 4:20-22).
Don't just study the Word of God, you need to spend quality time to meditate on it (Joshua 1:8). To stay healthy always, take a daily dose of the Word and let it not depart from your mouth.
